Buruneko Images is the "nom de plume" of Maura Paoletti, a scientific and literary translator with a passion for observing life and capturing its introspective and atmospheric details in her photographic notebook.
"Some women love diamonds, I prefer boarding passes and a camera. Diamonds are forever... I won't last that much..."
She was given her first camera at the age of 5 (a Kodak Rio 400, a special version of the Brownie Bullet II, made in Brazil in 1965 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Rio de Janeiro) and immediately began documenting everything around her. She never stopped since.
